A quiet, grounded space to nurture your writing practice, deepen your intuition and make smart publishing decisions — one season at a time.
The Writing Seasons Lab is an intentionally small, seasonally paced community on Circle for intuitive writers and creators who want to practice writing in alignment with where they actually are — not where anyone else says they “should” be.
Every month, we explore the four Writing Seasons: Rest, Musing, Tending and Craft.
Inside the Lab, you’ll get:
A monthly prompt or skill-building lesson grounded in one of the four seasons
A place to write, reflect and re-engage with your writing and publishing practice
Light structure to keep you moving without pressure
Fellow writers navigating similar seasons
If you're craving a more intuitive way to nurture your writing and also grow your publication (whether on Substack or elsewhere), the Lab is your next step.

FAQ
What are the Writing Seasons?
Writing Seasons are a four-part guide to the creative cycles that shape a writer’s life. They’re not a formula or fixed path — they’re a companion framework to help you recognize where you are, what’s emerging, and what kind of support you need next.
The four seasons are:
Musing: A quiet, exploratory phase of ideas and reflection.
Tending: Where your writing begins reaching outward — toward readers, systems, and platforms.
Craft: A focused season of shaping, editing, and strengthening your voice.
Rest: A vital pause for creative recovery, integration, and stillness.
In the Lab, you’ll have access to all four season channels — and you can move between them as your creative rhythm shifts. It’s about learning to listen to where you are, not pushing toward where you “should” be.
What kinds of questions can I ask in the Writing Seasons Lab? You’re welcome to bring in a paragraph of writing, a call to action you're unsure about or even ask how a promotional offer is landing. Whether you need creative feedback or strategic clarity, there's season-based space to unpack it.
Is this space focused on growth strategies? Yes — but in a different way. There’s a dedicated channel for strategic publishing questions (in the Season of Tending), including how to refine offers, reader journeys and content rhythm. But the core of the Lab is about equipping you with sustainable publishing practices — rooted in voice, values and vision — not quick wins or trends.
Is this just for people on Substack? Most members are building on Substack — and I offer platform-specific support to help you launch confidently, with original Substack data and strategic, energy-preserving guidance. (See my Substack Toolkit here.) But this isn’t about following a 1-2-3 formula. After you launch a publication, much of the work is about learning to navigate your own rhythm — uncovering what’s right next for you creatively, and learning to ride the natural waves of growth that Substack often brings. Read here about a member of The Publishing Spectrum who saw 2,500 new subscribers in a very short period of time.
I’m trying to grow my newsletter. Will this help? Absolutely — just not with shortcuts. Instead of “growth hacks,” you’ll find tools and prompts to help you publish consistently, stay connected to your audience and build a distinctive body of work that keeps readers engaged over time.
What qualifies you to host this space? Before growing a best-selling Substack, I spent years as an editor and content strategist. My work now blends audience analytics, creative instinct and real-world publishing experience to help creators develop work that lasts. I’ve supported authors, founders, entrepreneurs and burgeoning writers — and this space brings all of that insight into a more personal, reflective practice.
What is a Somatic Signaling Guide™ session? It’s a live, guided body scan I’ve developed to help you reconnect with your creative instincts — especially when you're stuck, blocked, or facing a decision. These sessions invite your physiological cues into the process, helping you notice what's present and what's possible. They're gentle, powerful, and often clarifying.
