Publishing Advisory for Creators Who've Outgrown Generic Advice
Limited to 5 clients monthly
You've built an audience. Maybe you’re Substack native or you brought your subscribers over from another platform. If I know anything about you it’s that you publish consistently and you even make some revenue.
But here's what's actually happening behind the scenes: You're ping-ponging between ideas. Your readers don't know what to expect. Engagement and upgrades are scattered at best. And you're stuck between "being authentic" and "being strategic" — like those two things can't coexist.
This engagement isn't about crafting a one-time content strategy to box you inside. It's about learning to operate like a real publisher.
What You Get:
Two 60-minute co-publishing sessions monthly
We pick your themes and vet ideas together using editorial filters and your creative intuition (not just "what feels good")
I teach you how to identify what actually affects your reader's life vs. what's just interesting to you
We build 3-month containers and test them
Essay coaching on 2-3 pieces before publication
Headline testing so people actually click
Structure guidance: sidebar this, expand that, cut the fluff
Learning to recognize your edge — where depth turns into filler
Business integration consulting
How your publication supports your books, coaching, courses, or media business
Pricing strategy that doesn't cannibalize your other offerings
Understanding what readers need before they buy from you
Building revenue streams that work together (not compete)
Dashboard access + one optimization project monthly
I'm in your Substack data watching for patterns you can't see
We tackle one thing on our second call each month: your about page, a pricing shift, audience intelligence work, cadence experiments
You learn what to look for in your own data and publishing wisdom
The real work: Teaching you to publish from creative intelligence
Building your rubric for vetting ideas (mission → strategy → tactics)
Learning to filter big ideas through "where does this show up in my reader's actual life?"
Developing your editorial eye so you can eventually do this yourself
Who this is for:
Creators who:
Have a body of work but lack a publication strategy
Are generalists who need filters, not boxes
Want to start producing their publication in harmony with their creative instincts while still meeting readers where they are
Are ready to learn the craft of publishing (this isn't just coaching — it's apprenticeship)
What Actually Changes:
The internal shift comes first: You stop second-guessing every idea. You develop a publisher's eye. You learn to trust your instincts and serve your readers — not one or the other.
The external results follow: One client went designed an anniversary offer with messaging I helped refine, and converted 1,500+ paid upgrades after four months of working together. This happened because I'd been watching their data, learning their audience deeply and helping identify their publication patterns.
You're not just getting feedback. You're learning to think like a publisher.
Why me?
I've been on both sides of the publishing equation.
I've worked inside traditional newsrooms and digital publications. I've managed 94+ blogs simultaneously at a content marketing agency (and experienced the burnout that taught me what not to do). I've built publications from scratch — for marketing strategies, global immigration software platforms, and self-published authors.
I know what real publishing looks like. Not the guru version. Not the "post 3x a week and pray" version. The version where editorial strategy, audience intelligence and authentic voice work together.
Most publishing advice for Substack comes from people who've only ever published on Substack. I'm bringing 15+ years of editorial experience - print, digital, content operations, audience research — into a space that desperately needs it.
My clients include: Coaching executives, and marketing and media professionals building their first publication. Established authors (including NYT bestsellers) who know how to write books but are learning to publish serially. Anyone who understands the craft but needs help translating it into their own voice-led platform.
You likely know too much to follow generic creator advice. You need someone who speaks both languages — traditional publishing craft AND the creator economy.
That's the bridge I build.

“She can effectively look with these magical eyes at the data… She could literally pull all the data … and say this is the price your audience are happy to pay.” — Lucy Werner, PR Expert and author of “Hype Yourself”
FAQs
Is this right for me if I'm not publishing consistently yet?
This work is for people who already have a Substack (or newsletter) and some audience, but feel stuck in their publishing. If you're just starting out and need help launching from scratch, this probably isn't the right fit. But if you have readers, revenue, or professional traction and can't figure out how to publish authentically while growing your business — yes, this is for you.
What if I publish sporadically or don't have a set schedule?
Perfect. Most of my clients come to me because rigid publishing schedules don't work for them. We'll build a rhythm that fits your creative process and business model — not force you into someone else's system. My approach is responsive, not formulaic.
Do you work with people who write about [specific topic]?
I work across industries and topics. My clients include coaches, consultants, authors, course creators, and creative entrepreneurs in fields from leadership to wellness to creative craft. What matters isn't your niche — it's that your business relies on authentic audience relationships and you're ready to publish from your deepest intelligence rather than what you think you "should" say.
Will you tell me exactly what to write and when?
No. I don't give formulas or prescriptive content calendars. I help you recognize when you're connected to your voice versus performing, refine what you're already creating, and make strategic decisions about your Substack that align with your actual business goals. You stay in the driver's seat — I'm the trusted advisor helping you see what you can't see on your own.
How long does this take to work?
Real transformation in your voice and publishing confidence doesn't happen overnight. Most clients stay for 6+ months because this is relational work, not a quick fix. You're welcome to work month-to-month, but expect at least 6 months to see the full shift in how you publish and how your audience responds.
